Kapuso Video: Pacquiao vs. Diaz Video
Manny Pacquiao is favored to win over David Diaz. This analyst sees Pacquaio winning their bout. Yeah Pacquaio is gonna win it, I'm sure. He is as impenetrable as the Iron Man, di ba?

Do you already have a Pinoy Idol favorite? It's now the top 12 so more or less I have an idea of the capabilities of the singers and whether I like them or not.
So far, I like Robby Navarro. I hope he can live up to his promise. It helps that he is cute and good looking. But the more important part is that he can sing. He also comes across as someone who is humble and not arrogant.
I don't like Raymond Gutierrez though. But that's me.
By the way, check out my friend's Pinoy Vote for the Worst blog. He said that he will be active when the Pinoy Idol top 12 begins.

Regine Velasquez is really a professional, di ba? No wonder she's praised in this Fame Meter review.
Pumayag itong mag-guest co-host sa Eat Bulaga, nag-tape for Mel & Joey, Sis at iba pang shows ng Siyete.

For this week, it will just be Daisy Siete and Magdusa Ka ang Drama Rama Sa Hapon.
Nire-tape lahat ni Camille Prats ang mga eksenang nakunan na ni Sunshine Dizon before she got sick and this took time.
Oo nga pala, not true na nag-switch ng roles sina Camille and Diana Zubiri. Camille will stay play the part originally played by Governor Vilma Santos and Diana will be the one played by Hilda Koronel in the said classic Viva Films movie.

Aniya, dapat ay mature enough na rin daw ang tao to know his limitations in drinking.
Sina Marian Rivera at Karylle.
[source]

Is this lie detector thingie silly or what? I think the problem is the very long statements that guests have to say "yes" or "no" to.
But is there something going on between Marvin Agustin and Diana Zubiri?

If only we have a magazine like Forbes in the Philippines which will rank the power of celebrities link what Forbes Magazine did. This Fame Meter is a good start but the blogger does not appear to have sustained the effort. Too bad.
Who of your celebrity favorites made it to the Forbes Celebrity 100. Oprah of course deserves to be number one, no question about it. I'm happy that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the top rankings also.
Of teenager celebrities, I'm happy that the Jonas Brothers made it. If the brothers play their cards well, they will be in the list for a long, long time.

Upsets trouble Pinoy Idol
Kaye Villagomez
By next week, "Pinoy Idol" contestants will be trimmed down to the final 12.
But the recent contestants booted out of the running have been dependable, talented ones. Take the cases of Walton Zerrudo, 25, from Laguna and Meryl David, 23, from Bicol, who bowed out last Sunday in another unexpected voting turnout.
Either judges may have failed to sway voters in favor of the good performers or the voting public is simply too relaxed to bet on their favorites, but it’s evident that less talented hopefuls entered the next round happening tomorrow, Friday and on Saturday.
Judges Ogie Alcasid and Jolina Magdangal both shared the sentiment that they were unhappy with the result of last Sunday’s elimination show.
Ogie told host Raymond Gutierrez when the latter asked the judges if they were okay with the result, "No, I am not happy [because] the two of you [turning to Zerrudo and David] would have added more to this competition [and] would have made it more exciting with your talent. But the people have spoken, so be it. The two of you did not lose. You have so much talent."
Ganun talaga."
As expected Wyngard Tracy kept it all about business stressing that upsets will always happen because there will only be one "Pinoy Idol" in the end. He addressed his co-judges, "Malungkot kayo, ganon? Ako, hindi." Turning to the contestants, he then said, "Again, I will always mention this and you will have to remember this: Ilan pa ang matatanggal this coming weeks.
However, one comment was absent from Wyngard’s fiery mouth last Sunday, he did not say he expected Zerrudo and David to leave the contest as opposed to past results when he would coldly and specifically announced he expected the verdict. Instead, Wyngard even credited the eliminated contestants telling them, "The two of you performed very well [in this round] and that’s enough consolation. Malungkot pero ganon talaga. You have to respect the decision of the viewers."
With the recent exits, 14 semi-finalists will continue to battle each other out. They are Warren Antig, Kid Camaya, Daryl Celis, JJ Jr., Robby Navarro, Ram Chaves, Toffer Rei, Penelope, Gretchen Espina, Carol Leus, Jayann Bautista, Sue Ellen, Jeni Rawolle, and Mae Flores.
The next round of GMA7’s "Pinoy Idol" performances air this Friday and Saturday with the results revealing the final 12 on Sunday.

From the Filmex Studio in Makati City, the show will move next week to CenterStage at the Mall of Asia, Pasay City, where the final 12 contenders will be picked.
Four contestants—Rye Estrada, 28, Sherwin Marquez, 26, Regene Ong, 20 and Vrenilyn Villaflor, 17—were eliminated last week, leaving only 18 to slug it out for a slot in the Top 12.
Estrada, who hails from Iloilo, is a band frontman and a Robbie Williams fan who became emotional after dedicating his solo piece to his mom Fanny during Hell Week.
Villaflor, a daughter of a retired police officer, is a Quezon City resident and alumna of the “Batang Kampeon” and PLDT “Tuklas Talino” tilts.
Ong impressed the judges by singing diverse tunes like those of Elvis Presley’s and Sarah McLachlan’s. She also stood out for her unconventional outfits, which she makes herself.
Marquez, Sherwin Bayangan in real life, is a son of a folk singer. He performs regularly at a friend’s bar in Tuguegarao, where he now lives with his parents.
Karylle, host of “Pinoy Idol Extra,” was the first person the contestants spoke with after getting the boot. “I was there right after they got off the stage. That’s the hardest part of being a host of this show,” she told Inquirer Entertainment on Tuesday. “My job is to introduce them to the viewers. I’m also there when they need to respond to controversial issues.”
But Karylle also gets to spend fun time with the contestants. “I went to a bar at The Fort with the Top 24. We all had a good time,” she said.
The job to host “Pinoy Idol Extra” was first offered to Karylle in May. “The producers said they saw how I work on SOP. They based their decision on my performance there and in every New Year’s Eve program I hosted for GMA 7,” she explained.
Karylle alternates with Rhian Ramos as host of the show. Unlike Karylle who was handpicked for the program, Rhian, had to pass a series of auditions.
Rhian also had to contend with detractors who say she only got the assignment because she is the niece of GMA Artist Center boss Ida Henares. [source]
